I had a party one day and found some people in my room playing with the tape recorder. They’d filled all the recording slots with recordings of them making stupid voices. I was devastated. I cried so hard. That was so long ago and I’m still not over it. Edit: thank you all so much for your kind words. It really does mean a lot. I forgave my friends because we were dumb teenagers and things happen. They didn’t know. It was wrong, but they didn’t know what they were doing. I do still think about it a lot though. Don't know what else to say other than I know how you feel. I did have some recordings of her on my very first cellphone, when you could record 30 seconds at a time on this small Samsung flip phone. I was only around 13 back then, so when I got a new cellphone, I didn't really make an effort to transfer these files. Tried a couple of times, didn't work and gave up. In my mind, I'm the stupid people in your story.
