Lesson learnt. Now if I find something, I just give it to the authorities involved and tell them to return it to the owner or do whatever they want. Meh. I can definitely understand wanting to know some of the details because I’ve lost my wallet and it could have happened in so many different locations over a few days. Left me with way too many questions and a lot of anxiety. Still not an excuse to treat you or anyone else that way. Just that some are good people who just had something bad happen to them, and sometimes it’s someone who simply can’t accept a reality in which they could possibly make a mistake. No real benefit in Colombia is so close to the equator. The only reason you'd do it is to stay in the same time zone relative to the U.S. and presumably your neighbors if they also change clocks. Up further north, there's a large difference between the amount of daylight in winter vs. summer. In summer it would be getting light out before you wake up which kinds screws with sleep. So, we move the clocks forward. There are also some energy savings since businesses are open during daylight hours. I've tried and recommended some of those things. We used to play games online together too. But he's more of the type to need me to be physically there. It's ironic because I learned to be more independent and keep my distance because of him. I used to be the one who always wanted to see and hang out with him, while he was fine with just seeing me once or twice a week before I left to go work overseas. The vulnerable part, I've always been the more emotional and vulnerable one in my family and in social situations, and I've been shut down a lot to by family and friends so it's hard to open up to people and just be their ears.
